Happy President’s Day, what shall you be gifted.

Presidents’ Day, officially Washington’s Birthday, is a holiday in the United States celebrated on the third Monday of February to honor all persons who served in the office of president of the United  States 🇺🇸.
In honor of President’s day I would like to take a look at our current president in office. Joe Biden took office January 21, 2021. He has made campaign promised and I will accredit him for trying to make good on them.

  • Under Medicaid, several states are adding community health workers.
  • Americans is creating a public health jobs Corp.
  • He does see bipartisan cooperation for infrastructure bill.
  • The signing of the infrastructure bill is a major step forward for his broadband  promises.
  • The EPA tightens fuel efficiency rules fit cars and light trucks.
  • Biden pauses student loan payments but hasn’t pursued large-scale forgiveness.
  • Bill will boost Pell Grants, but not double it.
  • He is using the Defense Production Act to produce personal protection equipment to fight the pandemic.
  • Hearings are held on proposal to create public credit reporting agency.
  • He keeps promise to leverage federal focus on transgender issues.
  • The Build Back Better bill would change overseas provisions.
  • His first week in office he signed to end new contracts with private prisons. Although now private prisons housing immigrants for profit is an issue.
  • Child care assistance for most families passes House, though not in tax credit form.
  • House passes bill to enshrine Roe v. Wade.
  • House approves provision to permit some drug price negotiations.
  • To eliminate the federal death penalty is his determination.  Attorney General Garland orders moratorium on federal execution.
  • Preliminary talks underway to revive Iran nuclear deal.
  • White House moves on new Buy American guidelines to award federal contracts to companies that make all products in U.S.
  • Biden includes universal preschool proposal in American Families Plan.
  • He forms commission to study changing Supreme Court.
  • He has signed an executive order banning discrimination against transgender service members.
  • Sending a letter Biden has reversed Trumps WHO Withdrawal  World Health Organization.
  • Biden raises refugee cap to 62,500.
  • The American Rescue Plan includes aid for small businesses, including restaurants for restart package.
  • House passage of Equality Act happens.
  • Administration paving to restore funding for Planned Parenthood.
  • Biden is expected to make his commitment to nominate a Black woman to the Supreme Court soon.
  • The changes to tax codes impact are unclear if they would maintain stay of pharmaceutical production in the U.S.
  • No new law on domestic terrorism has been enacted but official strategy is focusing on it.
  • There’s been no legislative ban on online sale of firearms and ammunition.
